MERRY CHRISTMAS- KEEP PRACTICING

I WILL BE SENDING HOME A PRACTICE CHRISTMAS TREE

Encourage your student between December 19 and January 2 to keep practicing 

NO LESSONS - DECEMBER 19 - JANUARY 1 

LESSONS WILL START ON Tuesday January 2

Each time you practice place a sticker on the tree - If you have all 14 stickers at the end of the Holiday~ you will get a special gift. 

My experience has taught me that if students do not know their first solo perfected and have memorized by Christmas they do not do well in string festival and recital performances in February and March.   

MUST KEEP PRACTICING AND PERFECTING AND MEMORIZE SOLO!!!!!!!

Southern Utah String Festival

LOOKING FOR ACCOMPANIST THAT IS WILLING TO PLAY FOR CELLO SOLOS AT RECITAL  end of February  AND STRING FESTIVAL Saturday March 3.

Would ask Cello Performers to pay piano players for their time.  At least $30 and hour for rehearsal and $30 for their time to come to recital and festival


REGISTAR ON LINE BY DECEMBER 15

Student will come home with information about pieces they will play and the level.  Must know accompanist so IMPORTANT YOU FIND SOMEONE TO PLAY PIANO.  I hope to have a few suggestions for you

Name, Age, Parents, Email, Teacher, Teacher Phone, Instrument, Level, Solo 1 and 2 with Composer and Performance time, Accompanist
You need to let them know if in any ensemble and is you have special scheduling requests.

You need to then pay $12 for solo entry

IN ORDER FOR YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT THE SOUTHERN UTAH STRING FESTIVAL AND DO WELL IN FEBRUARY RECITAL - YOU MUST HAVE YOUR 1ST PERFORMANCE SOLO MEMORIZED BY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Listen to Recordings of Solo

Drill or go over small sections - 10 to 20 times learning and memorizing a few measures each day

Suzuki Orchestra and Group Cello Class - Start Sept. 6

Suzuki Orchestra is held every Wednesday at the SUU music building @ 5:00 to 6:15
Right after orchestra there is a 30 minute cello group class where they learn cello pieces to perform in workshops and concerts.

$15 per lesson

GROUPED LESSONS INTO 3 A MONTH SO YOU CAN PAY THE SAME AMOUNT EACH MONTH - If student can not attend a lesson let me know ahead and we will subtract lesson from payment or credit to another month.
